The International Society of Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Professionals (ISSUP) is a global, not for profit, non-governmental professional membership network that connects, unites, and provides knowledge to the global substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support workforce.
"APRAK is a non-profit organization limited by guarantee and registered under the Company's Act 2015. We are a national network of alcohol, drug and other behavioural addiction prevention, rehabilitation and care centers/programs across the Republic of Kenya. The association also serves as a platform for unified engagement with other external stakeholders including the national and county government, bilateral and multilateral agencies that support addictions prevention, treatment and care activities as well as local communities."
The Authority operated as such until May 2006 when His Excellency the then President of the Republic of Kenya established an Advisory Board and appointed its Chairman through the Kenya Gazette Notice No. 3749 of 19th May 2006.
